FTC TEAM | HACK CITY | 21797

WORKING AS ONE, WE CHARGE TOWARDS THE FUTURE WITH HIGH HOPES!Get ready everyone! These Rams are here to leave a mark! ... or well, hoof? Well whateves! Welcome to our page!

    HC RAMS
The Rams themselves! These people make the robot possible! We hope our team grows as years pass by- both in experience and members.

Hack City (Team #21797) is a school-based team founded on September 14th, 2022. This is our second year with 13 students, 6 of whom are new, and 2 mentors, 1 of whom is new.

    HC SHEPHERDS
In a strange way, The Herdsmen of the team! If Herdsmen take Rams instead of Sheep.. No but our mentors are pretty cool! They're great at encouraging us to try stuff we're unacquainted with and get out of our comfort zone.

    Thomas Loyd (2nd Year Mentor)
"I've mentored FRC for five years, but this is my second year coaching an FTC team! I teach science, math, and making. I think robotics is a great opportunity to learn skills useful for all areas of a successful life. I'm a bit of an electronics nerd, so building and coding the robot to move around and play the game is a ton of fun!"

    Sjouke Blauw (1st Year Mentor)
"As a first year FTC mentor, I am excited to bring my passion for mechanical systems to Hack City! My professional experience is in teaching mathematics and bicycle mechanics. My favorite thing about FIRST and FTC is watching the students solve mechanical problems. It's hugely rewarding seeing the students go from learning what an allen wrench is to becoming experts on the entire robot!"

    HC MASCOT
Arriving from the stars, Okja (Oak-tah) is a silly little ram astounded by the technology earth has to offer! Constantly, they find themselves amused by 'colorful trinkets' .. and by that, we assume they mean rubix cubes? It's hard to know, they aren't really the verbal type (●´∧`●)
Although language barrier sounds difficult to deal with, We've managed to open up with the silly thing and vise versa! With a goal to conquer this curious planet with our machinery, Okja hopes for some smiles and friends.

    HC ROBOT
    still a work in process...
